Bindweed(purple) Flowers

Popularly known as cotton morning glory or tievine, the purple bindweed is a perennial vine which is a part of the morning glory family and grows up to 3-15 feet tall.
These spring flowers feature trumpet-shaped purple flowers which open in the morning and close by the evening and bloom between April and October.

Native to Southern America, Mexico and Central America, the purple bindweed is toxic to pets and humans and heavily pollinated by insects. However, it is not recommended to grow these purple flowers, as they are highly invasive and have an aggressive growth habit which affects the neighbouring plants.
