Bird of Paradise Flowers

Botanically known as Strelitzia reginae, the bird of paradise, as the name suggests, is a tropical plant which is named due to its close resemblance to a tropical bird. One of the most exotic flowers, this herbaceous perennial is an ornamental flower grown both indoors and outdoors.

With a height reaching up to 5 feet high, these flowers are grown in full sun to partial shade and loamy soil and bloom from late winter to early spring. Closely related to the banana plant, it has paddle-like leaves and is considered toxic for pets; hence, place it mindfully indoors.
