Chamomile Flowers
Chamaemelum nobile, commonly known as Chamomile, is a mat-forming perennial boasting finely divided, aromatic leaves and masses of small daisy-like flowers throughout the summer and into early fall. The feathery foliage exudes a ripe apple scent when bruised.
The flower of this plant is harvested and dried to make Chamomile tea. Gather the flowers when fully open, dry them, and store them in an airtight container.
It thrives in full sun to partial shade in average, medium moisture, well-drained soils and is drought-tolerant when established. It grows up to 3-6 inches tall and 10-12 inches wide.
