Kudzu flowers

Kudzu is a fast-growing climbing vine recognized for its fragrant flower clusters and vigorous growth. Native to East Asia, this perennial vine produces hanging sprays of pea-shaped blossoms in rich shades of purple and reddish violet during late summer. The flower releases a sweet, grape-like fragrance that attracts bees, butterflies, and other pollinators, adding life and movement to the garden.

It thrives in full sun to partial shade and adapts to a wide range of well-drained soils. Its long, twining stems quickly cover fences, trellises, and slopes with dense green foliage, making it useful for erosion control in some landscapes.
