Ulex (Gorse) flowers

Ulex europaeus , commonly known as gorse, belongs to the family of Fabaceae, having more than 20 species of thorny evergreen perennial shrubs and native to the parts of Western Europe. With a pea-flower structure, it can grow up to 7-10 feet tall, and produce throughout the year, especially in the early spring. It is a pollinator shrub and provides shelter to nesting birds. The flowers are grown yellow in color, and produce fruit namely legume till 2 cm long. It is considered as an ornamental flower, and needs a temperature below -20 deg celsius.
