Clove pink Flowers

Botanically known as “Dianthus Caryophyllus,” the clove pink plant is a beloved, time-tested heirloom that yields small aromatic carnation-like flowers on wispy, compact plants. The attractive, heavily scented flowers have a long herbal history in medicine and as an edible garnish and flavoring.

Clove pink herb plants are also tolerant of a wide range of soil situations and marine regions, as well as mildly polluted zones. It is adaptable to USDA zones 5 to 8 and has a tidy 6 to 9-inch spread with flowers that can rise 20 inches above the basal mound of foliage.
