Baby Tears Plant
Baby Tears plant belongs to the botanical family Urticaceae (Nettle) and the genus Seleirolia. These creeping evergreen plants are native to the Western Mediterranean (Corsica and Sardinia). The plant grows best in a moderate climate and bright indirect lighting. The flowers are dioecious and form in clusters in the leaf axil.
The plant, because of its evergreen creeping nature, is used as a mat and ground cover. Baby tears is also used as a home decor houseplant, as it is easy to maintain and has beautiful foliage.
