Broom(Spanish) Flowers

Botanically known as Spartium junceum, the Spanish broom flowers are a member of the pea family, which is identified through its large, yellow, pea-like flowers, which have a sweet, honey-like fragrance and are a delight to plant in the garden.

These flowers are native to the Mediterranean regions and turn into green seed pods after pollination and can be easily planted in garden borders, as they require minimal care and are drought-tolerant once established.

The only difference between the prickly brooms and these flowers is that these have larger, fragrant flowers, and the spiny brooms have stems with sharp thorns.
