Cabbage plant
Cabbage is a part of the botanical family Brassicaceae and the genus Brassica. These biennial plants are native to Western Europe. The plant grows best in a cool and moist climate. The flowers are gold or yellow with 4-5 petals. The fruit of cabbage is dry and called a siliqua.
These cole crops are eaten as pickles, stewed, boiled, or as a vegetable. They are a great source of vitamin K, vitamin C, and dietary fibre, and have phytochemicals. The Cabbage plant also attracts butterflies, moths, and other pollinators.
