Carnation Flowers
Dianthus, commonly known as Carnation, is a genus of about 300 species of flowering plants, including annuals, evergreen perennials, or subshrubs with narrow, usually silvery-grey leaves and showy flowers with notched petals. Most carnation varieties have fragrant flowers in shades of pink, red, or white.
A strong performer, this carnation is perfect for the sunny border, patio containers, and makes an exquisite and long-lasting cut flower.
It grows up to 10-14 inches tall and 10-12 inches wide. It is easy to grow, and its clove fragrance attracts an array of beneficial insects to the garden, such as bees and butterflies.
