Dittany (white) Flowers
Botanically known as Dictamnus albus, White Dittany is a species of floering plant in the family Rutaceae. It is native to warm, open woodland habitats in southern Europe, north Africa and much of Asia. This plant grows about 40 cm to 100 cm in height. Its flower form a loose pyramidal spike and vary in color from pale purple to white. The flowers are five-pettled with long projecting stamens. The leaves resemble those of an ash tree.
White Dittany is tap-rooted, making mature plants difficult to establish and resistant to division; young plants often need three years to grow properly.
