Donkey’s Tail plant

Donkey’s Tail plant is a part of the botanical family Crassulaceae and the genus Sedum. These perennial plants are native to Mexico (Veracruz, Puebla, Chiapas). The plant grows best in full sunlight and well-drained soil. The flower is a cyme inflorescence with 4-5 petals. The fruit is a capsule.

These flowering plants attract pollinators and songbirds. Donkey’s Tail plant uses the crassulacean cycle (CAM Pathway) for photosynthesis. The plant is widely used as an ornamental plant and in landscapes, hanging baskets, rock walls, containers, and house plants.
