Entertainment units are perfect for hiding the mess of screens, Xboxes, consoles, and cables that can easily take over a living room. If you have a large TV, a low, wide media console works best because it keeps the center of the screen at a comfortable eye level, which is roughly 100–110cm from the floor to the centre. Make sure that the unit has built-in cable management holes, open shelves so that the remotes can signal the devices, and enough breathing room for electronics that tend to heat up. Finally, before buying the unit, measure the height and width of your TV so that there is margin on both sides.
