Frangipani Flowers

Frangipani, scientifically known as Plumeria, belongs to the Apocynaceae family and includes roughly a dozen species native to tropical regions of the Americas. The plant’s signature look comes from thick branches, leaves clustered near the tips, and flower clusters that form at the ends of mature shoots.

Frangipani flowers are usually 2-4 inches wide with five overlapping petals in white, yellow, pink, red, orange, or bicolors. Blooming typically runs from late spring through fall. Individual flowers last a few days, but clusters keep opening for weeks when conditions stay warm and sunny.
