Italian Cypress Plant

Italian Cypress is a part of the botanical family Cupressaceae and the genus Cupressus. These evergreen plants are native to the East Mediterranean, Europe, and Asia. The plant grows best in full light and moist soil. Pollen cones appear during spring, and flowers are green in color.

These drought-tolerant plants are widely grown in recreational landscapes and winter gardens. Italian Cypress plant is economically important because of its oil extracts and antimicrobial properties. The oils are used to make perfumes and in medicines to relieve pain, inflammation, and toothache.
