Sundew plant
The sundew plant is a part of the botanical family Droseraceae and the genus Drosera. These annual and perennial plants are native to 12 US states, including Alaska and Hawaii. The plant grows best in full sunlight and moist soil. The flowers are saucer-shaped with 4-5 petals. The fruit is a brown capsule.
Drosera have sticky leaves, and it catches insects. These plants are used for medicinal purposes such as asthma, bronchitis, and cancer, although research is still going on. It also has anti-inflammatory properties.
