Red Valerian, also known as Centranthus Ruber, is a perennial plant belonging to the caprifoliaceae family, native to Europe, Northern Africa, and some parts of Turkey. This plant has pinky-red flowers, attracts insects like butterflies too much and is considered as a popular plant found in gardens and grown from early summer to early autumn. It grows on well-drained soils and can be grown on walls and rocks.  This plant can grow up to 1.5-3 feet tall, and grows small dry fruit after shading the flowers. The red valerian smells very good and attracts insects like butterflies.
