Virginia Creeper Plant

Virginia Creeper (Woodbine) is a deciduous plant that belongs to the botanical family Vitaceae and the genus Parthenocissus. These perennial plants are native to Eastern Canada, the United States, Mexico, and North Carolina. The plant grows best in dappled sunlight and soil rich in organic matter. Flowers are in a panicle inflorescence, and fruit is a berry.

Because of its rich nectar, Woodbine attracts a lot of pollinators, including bees. The fruits of the Virginia Creeper plant are eaten by raccoons, squirrels, and other mammals. It is used to decorate walls and fences and is also used in medicine.
