Water Hyacinth flowers
Water hyacinth, a beautiful, elegant flower, is a perennial aquatic plant that freely flows into the water with thick, waxy, oval-shaped leaves, native to South America. The flowers are light violet and pink in color having six petals. The scientific name of Water Hyacinth is Pontederia Crassipes. The flowers are 4-7 cm long and 4-6 cm wide, having a shape of funnel, fruits are also grown into it that contain up to 300 seeds. It is known for its rapid growth and doubles its population in just two weeks.
