Weeping fig Plant

Weeping fig, also called Indian Rubber Plant, belongs to the botanical family Moraceae and the genus Ficus. These plants are native to Tropical and Southtropical Asia and Northern Australia. These woody plants are 5-30 ft tall and grow best in indirect sunlight and sandy loamy soil. The flowers are enclosed in a fleshy receptacle and pollinated by fig wasps.

These plants are known to filter the toxins benzene and formaldehyde from indoor air. Weeping Fig is believed to reduce stress and anxiety by calming the atmosphere.
