Iris (Purple) flowers

You will often find purple irises growing in garden beds or around banks and slopes as border cover flowers. Usually flowering from late fall to early spring, all parts of the purple iris flower are toxic to cats, dogs, and horses. Purple iris flowers offer a wide range of choices because of the different shades they are available in. From bearded iris to imperial purple, you can easily grow them in bright sunlight and well-draining soil. Do not overcrowd them or plant them in shade if you don’t want your clumps to stop flowering.
